When flounces and draperies seem pompous, and standard curtains from the store are boring. Curtains give your home a different charm and look. So, it is necessary to hang curtains nicely and adequately.
1. Only a bandeau
There is no curtain on the window in the center of this frame – only a decorative “visor” (the so-called bandeau). You can hide a technical roller blind, under it if you plan to shade the room from time to time.
2. Pelmet that mimics a curtain
A variant of the same idea is to make a soft pelmet with folds laid (looks like an assembled Roman blind).
3. Eyelets on hooks
Another way to hang the curtains initially: the grommets are punched along (not along the short side) of the curtain. And instead of passing the cornice through the rings, they hung them on personal hooks.
4. A piece of fabric on the holders
Development of the idea with eyelets, only without eyelets – with volumetric fastenings, textiles will lie like that.
5. Under sail
Do you want to hang curtains unusually? Fix them in the manner of sails filled with wind. A solution for a pitched roof in the photo, but similar fasteners can be screwed into almost any ceiling.
6. Colored Blinds

7. Hang curtains on a strange cornice
A fishnet was fixed on the curtain cornice- a bright solution, which, moreover, cost almost nothing.
8. Let’s go velvet curtains
Plexiglass Rail holds these velvet curtains – nothing more than a ballet barre. The wooden version would be too massive, so the designer chose a transparent one. Use as an idea for a skylight.
9. Bet on symmetry
Curtain panels on a traditional cornice (in the example in the photo, we took unbleached linen). To emphasize the symmetry of the windows, a mirror in a contrasting frame was hung between them.
10. Mat on the window
In the company of the usual textile curtains, hang unusual, straw ones.
11. Relive the classics
Three guides allow you to rebuild the composition (usually, this kind of transfer is done on a single cornice).
12. Quite without pathos
The Roman blind was decorated with tassels.
13. In three sections
Textiles can be picked up with braid or tape from the side and from below. Velcro on the back allows you to lower and raise the fold higher.
14. Go around the corner
Hang the curtains on the ceiling cornice and lead it to the next wall. So you will achieve the effect that the window continues with a bay window.

16. In nets
An option for a porch window is an outdoor moisture-resistant textile combined with a fishing net, picked up by a jute rope with a marine knot.
17. Roman curtain under tulle
A non-trivial way to beautifully hang curtains in an ordinary apartment is to put decorative tulle over the Roman curtain.
