Many women would love to complement the interior of their home with indoor plants, but the need for complex care stops them. However, many plants do not require it. We will tell you about them. In nature, there are no plants that can survive at home without any care, but it is quite possible to minimize it. Undemanding plants exist. They are quite decorative and keep a healthy look for a long time.
1. Bamboo That’s Not Actually Bamboo
Sander’s Dracaena is a fairly popular plant that does not require special care. It is commonly sold under “lucky bamboo” as a bundle of green stems placed in a vase of water and small pebbles. It is enough to put this Dracaena in a not a too sunny place and change the water every two weeks. If the shoots have become too large, they can be cut, and the cut parts can also be put in water, giving new plants.
2. Ivy
Indoor ivy has been remembered by many of us since childhood, and it is no coincidence that it is a very natural plant that grew in every home. The length of its shoots reaches five meters, so ivy is best placed in a hanging pot, moderately watered and cut periodically. Variegated varieties need a high level of lighting, plain – medium.
3. Dracaena
Spectacular plants with many leaves on top – are often used in the interior. There are a lot of varieties. Almost all do not require active care and need only sufficient watering and an abundance of sunlight.
4. Syngonium
This flower also has a lot of varieties, and they all love humidity and heat – this species will grow well in the kitchen. Good watering, a bright place and periodic pruning so that it does not grow too much – that’s all it needs.
5. Chlorophytum
Another “school” plant that does not require close attention and care. It goes without water and light for a long time, easily tolerates almost any damage and grows back very quickly if you still run it. It grows best with abundant watering and good soil, but it is very undemanding to lighting.
6. Cacti
The most natural plant. A variety of forms allow you to choose the right flower for any interior. The main requirements are a special soil for cacti, an abundance of bright color and a decrease in watering and temperature in the winter.
7. Rape palm
One of the most popular palms loved just for its undemanding care. Beautiful lobed leaves, very textured plant. He does not feel much need for lighting, he likes moderate watering and special soil for palm trees, but it is not necessary to replant unless necessary.
8. Hevea Brazilian
Another name is a rubber tree, and it will grow well with increased heat and humidity, that is, in the kitchen. It requires nutritious soil and sunlight.
9. Spathiphyllum
Spathiphyllum is in the house of most flower lovers, and it is an essential thing for gardening: a lush, very elegant plant with beautiful flowers. Compared to the rest, it requires more watering does not like too bright sunlight, but it grows well not on windows but furniture pushed into some corner.
10. Mother-in-law’s tongue
Sansevieria (aka “Pike tail,” aka “Teschin language”) is another old acquaintance and, perhaps, of all the listed plants, the most unpretentious. It does not require careful watering or special lighting ceremonies – it can grow almost anywhere.
